Neuromuscular Disease Center Clinic
We treat over 2,000 outpatients each year in our Neuromuscular Clinic at Washington University in St. Louis. Our patients have access to leading global experts in pediatric neuromuscular diseases. As early adopters of new therapies, we work with other specialists in our combined clinic to ensure complete care for our patients and their families.
Therapeutics
Washington University in St. Louis is a major site in neuromuscular disease research.
We participated in pivotal clinical trials and expanded access programs for numerous therapeutics that are now clinically approved products, including Zolgensma, Spinraza, Risdiplam, Exondys 51, Viltolarsen, Amondys 45 and Lumizyme, among others. As a result, our patients benefit from the knowledge and experience gained in caring for subjects in these trials.

Our accomplished high cost drug team has successfully been among the first in the country to procure newly approved advanced therapeutics for our patients. Neuromuscular lab
The Neuromuscular division of the Department of Neurology and St. Louis Children’s Hospital offer complete in-house pathology services for muscle and nerve biopsies. Our team can thoroughly evaluate each patient’s condition and determine optimal treatment options. Our neuromuscular pathology lab is a world leader in nerve and muscle biopsy pathology and antibody testing for neuromuscular disorders.

Our clinic is located in the lower level of the McMillan building at 517 South Euclid Avenue Saint Louis, MO 63110. Family and visitors can park at the Barnes Jewish Plaza Tower Garage at 3 Barnes Jewish Plaza Dr., St. Louis, MO 63110. The Plaza Garage is connected to the Main Level of the Plaza Tower by an enclosed pedestrian walkway. Handicap parking is available on Level 2 (blue level). An information desk is located on the Main Level, accessible directly from the pedestrian walkway when you enter from the Plaza Garage to help guide you to the McMillan building for your clinic appointment.

The Neuromuscular Specialists at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, in affiliation with Washington University School of Medicine, provide compassionate, leading-edge care to infants, children and adolescents with neurological diseases. Nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report in ten pediatric specialties, physicians at St. Louis Children’s Hospital provide the full spectrum of pediatric specialty services.
Multidisciplinary clinics
Working in a combined clinic setting, we offer collaborative appointments so families can see multiple physicians in one visit. In addition to seeing a neuromuscular specialists, our clinics include specialists in physical therapy, mobility devices, orthotics, a nurse coordinator and social work services.
In addition, we also offer a combined clinic to bring together specialists in neurology, cardiology, pulmonology and bone health. This multidisciplinary partnership extends to orthopedic specialists, geneticists, and nutritionists to ensure complete care for our patients and their families.
Our practitioners often see affected family members together and offer both in-person and telehealth visits.

Families and guests can park in the hospitals’ visitor parking garage at the intersection of Kingshighway Blvd. and Children’s Place. To access the garage, turn east on Children’s Place from Kingshighway and make an immediate right into the garage. Once you’ve parked your vehicle, take the elevator to the second floor walkway. The information desk is on your left as you enter the hospital.
